Day1: meet and assist at the airport
Upon Arrival to queen alia international airport, our representative will help with formulas and procedures, holding sign with your names. Transfer to the hotel for O/N.
Day2: Amman city tour– JERASH – AJLOUN –Amman
After breakfast, transfer for the City Tour (AMMAN), where you will visit the Citadel, Roman Theater and the Museum, Then transfer for the visit of JARASH, the Pompeii of the East. JERASH has been covered by sand for centuries, the main reason why it is still so well-preserved. You will enter JERASH through the monumental South Gate and find yourself wandering around in a Roman city. You will walk in the Oval Plaza surrounded by colonnades, visit the Roman theatre and Byzantine churches with mosaic-covered floors. Enjoy a stroll along JERASH ‘ main road (the Cardo) and pass by the Nyphium. You may experience the marvelous acoustics of the theatre, the stage of the JERASH music festival which takes place every year. And see for yourself how the Romans built the earthquake-proof columns of the colonnaded streets, after the visit transfer for the visit of AJLOUN an Islamic military castle was used by the Islamic armies of Saladin to protect the region against the crusaders. End of the afternoon transfer, back to Amman hotel and O/N.
Day3: Amman – desert castles – dead sea – Amman
After breakfast, transfer for the visit of the Desert Castles in the Eastern Desert. The Romans were not deterred by the desert climate and built a chain of fortresses along the ‘limes Arabic’s’, the frontiers of their new Arabic province. Most of the castles you can visit nowadays were built by the caliphs during the Umayyad period. Some are decorated with fine mosaics, frescoes, stone and stucco carvings and illustrations. They stand as silent and impressive evidence of Jordan’s rich history. Today you shall see three of the best-preserved desert castles. Where you’ll discover Qaser Al Mushatta, Qaser Amra and Qaser el Azraq. After the visit transfer for the visit of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth its surface and shores are 423 meters below sea level. You will have the possibility to swim in (Amman Beach2) where you will experience a rare floating sensation while giving your skin a beauty treat. After the visit, transfer back to Amman drive back to Amman, O/N.
After breakfast, departure from Amman through the King’s high Way, visiting MADAB, famous for the unique mosaic map of the Holy Land, which can be found in Saint George’s church floor then drive to Mount Nebo the place where Moses looked over the Holy Land and the Dead Sea. That is the place where Moses was seen for the last time; therefore we consider this place as burial place for Moses. You can visit here the memorial church of Moses. If the sky is clear Jerusalem, Jericho and Bethlehem will meet your eye at the other side of the Dead Sea. Going to KERAK (magnificent crusader’s fortress) continue to Petra O/N.
Day5: a full day visit of Petra with lunch and O/N.
After breakfast, full day dedicated for the visit of Petra the capital of the ancient Nabatean kingdom. The long-lost city of Petra, carved entirely by man into the rose-red sandstone rocks, puts your imagination to the test. It’s a mystic and glorious place, an eternal tribute to a lost civilization. . Petra was the central meeting point of the Nabatean spice routes. This is originated from the Persian Gulf, Western Arabia and the Red Sea. About two thousand years ago Petra became the capital of the Nabatean Empire. The city was so renowned that one of its kings, Aretas IV, is even mentioned in the Bible. The natural richness of the mountainous area combines in a superb way with the refined culture and massive architecture of the Nabateans, who carved their theatre, temples, façades, tombs, monasteries, houses and roads entirely into the rose-red sandstone rocks. No wonder UNESCO placed Petra on its World Heritage List. One enters Petra by passing the Siq, a deep and narrow gorge, at the end of which all of a sudden dramatically appears the most famous monument in Petra: al-Khazneh or the Treasury. Maybe you will recognize it as the stage of the final sequence of the movie ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’. But the Treasury is just the start. Walking and climbing in Petra hundreds of buildings carved in stone and eroded through the centuries into fabulous multi-colored walls will be revealed to you. With lunch and O/N.
Day6: Petra – aqaba – overnight
After Breakfast, transfer to aqaba for full day free to enjoy sun, swimming and snorkeling. (Aqaba: the only Jordan Port situated in the depth of Aqaba Golf, and occupied the reserved extremity of Wadi Araba. Aqaba was till today an important intersection for the commercial roads. More than its functions as a port, Aqaba become a principal touristic attraction pole, and recently established as free zone. It’s a nice maritime stationary on the red sea just right on the old city of Ecyon-Geber, and a marvelous under-water garden very rich with its corals). O/N.
Day7: AQABA – WADI rum 4×4 – Amman
After Breakfast, transfer to Wadi rum for a 2hr jeep safari to experience a journey to another world, a silent and timeless place where you will be dwarfed to insignificance. ‘Vast, echoing and Godlike’, that’s how Lawrence of Arabia described the uniquely shaped massive mountains rise out of the rose-red desert sand, and drive back to Amman and O/N.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport for the departure.
